FAQ

What is PMC?

What if I change my mind?

PMC, or ‘precious metal clay’ is an amazing product consisting of small particles of fine silver, an organic binder and water. The clay can be rolled, moulded or shaped into whatever shape you want. Then, when fired, the organic binder burns away to leave a beautiful fine silver piece ready to be finished and polished.

How can I purchase your jewellery?

If you are not 100% happy with an item, please contact me in the first instance to see if there is anything I can do to put things right.

Any item, apart from custom or personalised orders, can be returned within 14 days for a full refund.

Is your jewellery hallmarked?

You can visit my Etsy shop or

Pop in to the Crafters Emporium in Oxford.

Alternatively, please contact me directly if you have any

questions or would like to arrange a commission.

Unless otherwise stated, all of my pieces are handmade from 999 Fine silver,  and all accompanying chains and other

findings are 925 sterling silver.

In the UK any items above 7.78g must be hallmarked, however most of my pieces are below that weight and the hallmarking regulations do not therefore apply.

If you request a commission piece which weighs over the 7.78g limit then your piece will be hallmarked.

I like one of your individual earrings. Can you make me a pair?

All of my earrings can be purchased as single earrings and all those made using lump clay can be bought as a pair too.

The only exception to this is where an item has been made by painting paste onto a leaf or other organic material. This is because each piece will be a different size and shape, and so cannot be made as a pair. In some cases, I may be able to replicate a design as a pair by making a mould of the piece, however this will be using a different technique so some of the fine detail may be lost.

All earrings can also be mixed and matched with any

of my other designs

How do I arrange a commission?

You may wish to make a slight adjustment to one of my advertised pieces, such as turning an individual earring into a pendant instead or requesting a different texture. These kinds of changes can be easily made and will generally cost between £0 and £10, depending on your requirements.

The minimum charge for a Bespoke item is £75 and the final cost will be dependent on the type of design and cost of materials. I offer a free consultation which can be done either face to face or via zoom. Please contact me for further details.

What if I need a different chain length?

What if I have any more questions?

I have a variety of different chain lengths and styles available. Pendants can also be purchased without the chain.

If you would prefer something slightly different to the

piece shown, please let me know

No question is a silly one if you don’t know the answer.

Please feel free to contact me directly if there is anything else you would need to ask.
